Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
Not following Bill, Adam and Eve would have procreated and only they would have filled the planet (after a very long time) They were going to live forever had they not sinned. But "sin entered the world and death through sin" |

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
Ahh, see I said I have never read the bible fully. I do remember the phrase "Go forth and multiply". I was not aware that was directed only at Adam and Eve. It still doesn't sit with me though. Not trying to be difficult, I just don't get the concept that all nations, all people are basically related to Adam and Eve. How did they all get to the different countries to start whole new populations and creeds and how did we become different colours/races? Yeah, I know, basic kid questions....but does anyone have the answer, perhaps those who've read the bible? |

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
Interesting. My 10 year old son and I had an interesting conversation last night about evolution. I basically told him that fossil records clearly show there is a distinct line of evolution from primates to modern man. He is in the gifted program at school so he can have a pretty mature conversation. He asked a lot of questions about basically why did humans evolve. I told him all animal species are constantly evolving to their environment. I am waiting for the call from my Ex-Wife when he goes to CCD next Tuesday night! |

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
You sure about that ? It has made some predictions that were very accurate. They tried to warn the Rabin fellow several times his life was in danger, but he would not listen. He was killed later that same year, like it said he would be. That seems a little different to me than seeing shapes in clouds, but I did ask everyone their opinion, and I appreciate the answers. Interesting to see how different people's thought processes are. |

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
I get what you are saying. IF they had listened to God, they would have filled the earth, but they did not. What I am saying is, we all came from them right ? When did it stop being decernable incest ? We have marrige ceremonies to show we have chosen one mate, when did the mate we chose not be considered incest ? Was it after thousands of years of people spreading out all over the earth ? Was it that God said they have sinned are messed up now, and need someone with them to enjoy life, so I wont hold this against them ? There is still incest these days, like brother /sister and that nasty shit........but when did it not become incest to be with any one person because we all came from Adam and Eve ? |

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
It was/is incest. If Adam and Eve had not screwed up, they would have fulfilled God's commandment together through their procreation alone. Since they sinned, all hell broke loose and their kids fucked away incestually. They were now sinners b/c Adam and Eve fucked up all the generations to come. |

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here
I happened aright after the flood. Noah and family boarded the ark and we are all related to Noah, too, btw. There is enough diversity in human genes to produce the varieties of characteristics we have today. You want to know something wild? If you use the average birth rate for Noah and his family on from the time of the Flood (can be calculated from the Bible using it's genealogies) you come up with the current population we have today. Love that tidbit. Also, they divided up AFTER the tower of Babel. God decided to divide the people up by giving them different languages, they go frustrated and took off from each other. The differences in skin color happened due to the genes of the people who took off with the languages God gave them. Good site here http://www.answersingenesis.org/arti...m/v22/n1/peleg |
