The execution being either shot or beheaded was part of the custom if you were carrying this act out of honor (losing in battle) so as not to be capture. It was accepted and encouraged the person committing seppuku be put out of his misery so that he may die with dignity and not waling in his own pain in front of other warriors. If you commit seppuku out of shame (convicted of a crime , etc) then yes, you were supposed to deal with the pain and die like a sick dog. In this case obviously the guy lost in battle and wanted to go the honorable way before being captured, his assistant did the correct thing. This fucking seppuku went right by the book. Edit; The sepukku assistant or "Kaishakunin" was either a good friend, your father, brother or the next person in rank. That guy could have been any of these. even if he was enlisted man, he could have been the next man in rank left after the battle. Also great post ps: pic 4 and 5 are the same. |

he killed himself because he's a sneaky jap, he snuck up and got himself, before he realized it was him, then his butt ranger buddy shot him. sheesh, am i the only one whose seen "the pacific" 23 times? don't know if he was "tojo" or "fuckface" thanks for the pics |
