Holy fucking shit fuck fuck! Those gears went all the way through that mother fucker. I worked for the carnival Golden West Amusements in the 80's in Cali and we had a farris wheel (spell check plz) and it was the type that was set up and built/torn down one giant spoke at a time then rim section etc,etc. The giant gears (exposed) that turned it would have definitely done something very similar to the pics shown here.
