Before you call anyone 'ignorant' I suggest you brush up on your history. There was no effort on the part of the United States to invade mainland Japan. They walked off boats and ships as a conquering force after Japan's capitulation. Okinawa was the last major military operation before the surrender and there we saw thousands of Japanese civilians and soldiers take their own lives rather than submit to the invading forces. A real shame if you ask me. |
