Re: Whitney Houston Dead at 48
I wasnt a fan either, but really to have done all the drugs and drinking she did do....she did it to herself *shrugs* its nothing but a slow suicide when you do that, and so i give little sympathy when she died so young. Tragic to friends family and fans yes, but thats as far as i will go *shrugs*

Re: Whitney Houston Dead at 48
How is Houston any different from anyone else who ends up on DR's boards? She did this to herself, and now I'm supposed to venerate her as a saint because she's dead? Oh, very well. In the interest of friendship here is my respect: Requiem in Pace, Amica Me, et gratias. |

Re: Whitney Houston Dead at 48
I'm not saying I have pity on her. I know she did it to herself. But for people to celebrate a death just because the person was on drugs is just pathetic. I have never celebrated a death of anyone who died on drugs or anything like that. The only time I understand people celebrating a death is when a person who killed people, molested children, raped people, etc is killed. But this woman was like any other drug addict, she was troubled and never got the help she so desperately needed. So yea, I am disgusted at the fact that some of you seem to be happy over a person dying. |

Re: Whitney Houston Dead at 48
What I don't understand about Whitney Houston is that since her last hit, no one could be bothered with her. Then she tried a comeback tour, only to be panned by critics and concert goers alike (in addition to the ticket refunds that were issued). Now she's dead and we're all supposed to treat her like she was a national treasure? Sorry, but the Grammy show pissed me off when they only dedicated 1 song to Etta James. Etta James - now SHE was a national treasure. |

Re: Whitney Houston Dead at 48
I totally agree with you. I actually am more than a little annoyed at the fact that everyone acts like they were always supportive of these people when they were alive. But in reality everyone ignored them and called them losers and now that they died all of a sudden they are great people and it's considered a tragic loss. Same thing happened with Michael Jackson.
