Update: 15000 dentists were just exposed to one individual with covid-19 at a conference. Two more dead at the retirement home. The home I work in is now separating residents, not allowing visitors, and they've changed everything in dining to facilitate sanitization including someone to bus dishes, shifts are longer, we have three separate seatings for lunch, and the breakfast protocol has changed so that they must be served everything it is no longer buffet style. Oh, and our cases locally have jumped from 20 to 109.  Just keep swimming folx. Yes, there are many different Coronaviruses (including SARS, which this is related to). The 19 just signifies that this particular strain was discovered in 2019

Glad the home you work at is taking the necessary precautions. Hopefully, you're able to stay upbeat and not over worked and stressed out. I couldn't imagine. Times like this I'm glad I work in-home, but even then... its my job to make sure my/their envirement is safe, just like it is your job to make sure your envirement/patients are safe. I don't quite think people understand this... it's hard and stressful, for homes especially. Keep your head up, lady. It's upsetting people can't grasp the concept of "social distancing." It's important especially at a time like this, for everybody to practice it. |
