Re: US Gunman Opens Fire at Batman Screening in Denver, Colorado.
That's basically the same here. There are places in different states that you really wouldn't want to venture to if you weren't familiar with it. That being said random crimes such as this are just that, random. Any place you go is susceptible to random acts of violence. And like you said most places here don't have insanely high crime rates but why would anyone report on that? A nice, quite and peaceful community is not newsworthy so you're not going to have nightly reports on them. |

Re: US Gunman Opens Fire at Batman Screening in Denver, Colorado.
So if a thief gets blown away by some householder it was good because they had a gun to protect themselves right? so the next time they are robbed the thief will be armed too, yes I don't see the logic in that if you arm all the victims the thieves follow suit, it's a lose lose situation.

Re: US Gunman Opens Fire at Batman Screening in Denver, Colorado.
If someone is robbing you and they have a gun, wouldn't you feel like your chance of survival increase if you have a gun as well? Not to mention when you're being robbed you need to act like they're armed wether they are or not. Like many people have said, criminals don't care about the law. If you outlaw guns, only criminals will have them and then what chance do you stand? I was robbed and had a gun to my head, my moms ex husband had his gun on him at the time. He didn't pull it because the situation wasn't appropriate. Knowledge goes a long way in gun ownership. |

Re: US Gunman Opens Fire at Batman Screening in Denver, Colorado.
you are obviously not ever gonna understand. any subsequent thief is also subject to losing a knee penis or his life entering my home. 4 in a row, 2 x 2 ... any thief faces this danger. i saw a great pic last night. It says "my bolt lock? it was for yer protection" |

Re: US Gunman Opens Fire at Batman Screening in Denver, Colorado.
I believe they should be armed. They're supposed to protect civilians and what better way to do that than to blow some fucker away? And anyway, trying to outlaw guns in America after decades of us having them would be disastrous. Even people who legally and responsibly own guns would get enraged and shit would go down on a whole new level. |
