I need to refresh my memory of that case. I always found it odd that he was allowed to represent himself given the fantastic nature of the defense he mounted.

It's been called the theatre of the mentally ill. I think there are still some vids on youtube of it...... Basically its him, speaking about himself in the 3rd person, cross examining victims and witnesses.... and then there's the whole crazy wackadoo aspect. The whole thing was a complete sideshow. |

I remember seeing a lot of footage when it happened, especially when one of the witnesses kept saying "I saw you on the train." If I remember correctly, Ferguson kept objecting to her answers because she wouldn't refer to him in third person as "the defendant." I read a lot about the case years later, but that was still ages ago. |
