Let me explain to you how media works.

When something unexpected happens a responsible media outlet will be careful to report only what they know is factually accurate. Even though a reasonable guess might be able to be made about what happened, they should not report guesses because it is embarrassing if they are proven wrong.

Some bangs are heard, Trump drops, he is rushed off stage. When I saw that I thought someone had shot at him, but I didn't know that for sure. The sounds might have been caused by something else, he might have ducked for cover thinking (wrongly) that they were gunshots, he might have injured himself in the process. The media knows its probably a shooting, but they should report facts and not speculation. That is the lesson you need to learn.

So its really funny to me that you are pointing at that trying to argue that the reporting is unreliable. In reality, it means the opposite - that information is not broadcast until it has been fact checked.
