Re: 'Snaketivity' Display Set Up at Michigan Capitol Draws Supporters, Opponents
I already went over how the black vote only increased by 10% equating to a total maximum of 1.3% of the popular voter turnout. The increased black vote ISN'T the statistical reason he was elected, as vrist said, it was the young white vote that actually got him elected and reelected. But yeah that's right! THE BLACK VOTE DOESN'T MATTER! |

I almost think you don't realize is how our system works.. Even IF Romney did get 93% of the black vote, that in and of itself wouldn't guarantee him the win. Similar to when Bush won with only 49% of the popular vote. It's all about each specific swing states electoral votes, popular vote means nothing. |

Re: 'Snaketivity' Display Set Up at Michigan Capitol Draws Supporters, Opponents
Yes. Romney cleared nearly 60% white vote. So you are implying if Romney got nearly 60% of the white vote 93% of the black vote he would have lost? You should rerun your numbers. Those are the two largest voter demographics in America. And I haven't checked your 2.6%. But I know that's not a swing percentage. Blacks were 12% of the voters. So 93% of that would be much higher than your number. Not to mention, you take away basically 10% of Obama's votes, then add that 10% to Romney. That would be around a twenty percent swing. Romney wins. |

Romney with approximately 56% is a lot different than Bush's 49%. Which the 56% is right at the line where it's virtually impossible to lose the election with that percentage. At least it's unheard-of
