The second graph I posted was only primaries. The historical difference between primaries voter turnout and congressional secession voter turnout is also consistent. I was just trying to show the possible max of 1.3% increase in voter turnout from black voters didn't make much difference.

yea but it don't show how white turnouts dropped, and black turnout actually exceeds white turnouts, making black votes having an increased influence. While it states they have only a marginal 1.3% increase in voters, it don't show the influential percentage over whites.

Another words, blacks didn't follow the declining voter turnout trend, they in fact increased.

So the conservative focus on that, making the claim if black voters had followed the decline trend, then obama wouldn't have seen a second term.

The percentage of black voters increased slightly to exceed the percent of white voters, that's true. It would also make that increased maximum of 1.3% have more of an effect possibly. However the influence was so highly exaggerated without people knowing the actual statistics, many think it has much more effect than it actually did.

With Obama being twice 51%er with a decrease of whites, and an increase of blacks, I can see their motive for debate. However imho there is still room to dissect the numbers.
