Pretty much, a one hit wonder (but a really big hit), that openly called out one of the biggest authority figures in organized religion. That made her famous.

Ironically, she converted later in life to Islam. So… no accounting for intelligence there. I believe I read her 17 year old committed suicide. I’m assuming she might have as well, but who knows.

Never really was a fan of her, but that song and her interpretation of it were pretty amazing. Had no idea Prince composed that. Never really a fan of his either, but damn. That guy seems to have dabbled in all genres.

No shit? Didn’t know that. Cranberries definitely a widely known band. Sinead definitely talented if not controversial. It’s apparent Sinead fought inner demons. Sucks it ended up costing her life.

I was brought up catholic and told to stfu and not ask questions. Only when I did ask questions did things come into focus. You’re absolutely right, the Catholic Church leaders should be ashamed of themselves for all those coverups.
