hell id maul him to death too if his fat ass got on my back and tried riding me around. the hippo just figured it was his turn to get a piggy (well in this case a hippo) back ride and the owner didnt wanna share.

i have to wonder how they know it was his hippo? perhaps it was another? did they use a plaster cast of the hippos teeth and compare it to the bite marks? the hippo, which probably is guilty should at least be considered innocent until proven guilty. and i would imagine it will be kille since it is too use to people and may repeat what he (assumingly) has already done.
