Newborn George Weighs in at 15lb 7oz

The six-week-old was born naturally to mother Jade Packer, 21, at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

But because his shoulders are so large he got stuck during the delivery and stopped breathing for 20 minutes.

George, who was given a 10 per cent chance of survival, was rushed to the special baby care unit in St Michael’s Hospital, Bristol.

But now, after six weeks, he is back home in Cheltenham with his proud mother and father Ryan, 21, who is 6ft 2in tall.

The not-so-little battler is already about 65cm (2ft 2in) long and wears clothes meant for a six-month-old.

His mother, who was in labour for 16 hours, said the experience has put her off having any more children.

‘It was a massive shock for everyone – no one had any idea he would be this big,’ Ms Packer told the Bristol Post. ‘During the pregnancy I was just getting bigger and bigger.

‘It makes it even more special to have him home now after all he has been through.’

His father Ryan added: ‘We were told everything was normal until he popped out. It was scary because his shoulders got stuck and the staff told us he probably wouldn’t survive.

‘But now we are home, we are getting used to family life together. Everyone has said his size will level out and he will grow at a normal rate.’

A big, "ouch," to the mother!

One of my cousins had a son just under 18 pounds. Not funny to her husband, my blood cousin, but, all their kids were blue eyed blondes and the big baby was tan complected with dark hair and dark eyes.
