Reynosa,Mexico Gunmen Shoot at Helicopter This type of stuff never makes it on national news. But if something like this happens in the USA , its alllll over the news. Whats the deal here? I have posted news articles from mexico that show people getting beheaded in the masses....... how come this stuff doesnt show up on national news? Its like one big secret that they are trying to hide? Isnt there supposed to be a hero that is supposed to come and save the day??? Oh well they mess with drugs thats their problem right ;) Calm is returning slowly returning to the streets of Reynosa following reports of a shootout, gunmen opening fire on a helicopter and a string of tire fires. It all started with reports of a gun battle near the Rodeo El Portal in the Vista Hermosa neighborhood around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Authorities have not released a statement but witnesses turned to the #reynsaofollow hashtag of Twitter to report what happened. According to witnesses, gunmen used assault rifles to shoot at a military helicopter. It's not clear if there were injuries or casaulties but residents reported a series of blockades and several tire fires throughout the city. According to the Twitter users, the smoke from the burning tires was being used to block the view of the military helicopters. One Twitter user reported tire spikes had been deployed in the populous Mil Cumbres neighborhood in the central part of Reynosa. Another Twitter user reported that an intense gun battle had taken place in the downtown area. The chaos comes amid the busy Easter holiday when thousands of Mexican tourists use international bridges to cross into the Rio Grande Valley. None of the incidents reported in Reynosa affected the international bridges. |
