These pit bull bans are fuckin ridiculous, especially when they're threatening to euthanize peaceful dogs for no reason other then discrimination because a dog of the same breed attacked someone... By their logic should we just start banning every breed of big dog out there? Because I know a few people attacked by other dogs then a pit bull.

I read a statistic a while back that said Labrador breeds are reported for attacks more often than German shepherds  |

Yea, I read about that. Back yard breeding again apparently. Go into a rescue and everything over 50lbs is a lab or Shepherd "mix"  |

I wouldn't own any other breed ; they are the most loving and loyal animals I've owned . Granted , you cannot have a passive personality with some of them ..

That's quite hilarious, because Staffordshire Terriers are in the Pit Bull category. They have the same drive and temperament as the banned breeds. The only difference is the size. American Pit Bull terriers can come in Staffordshire size too - then you can't really tell the difference. The only difference is that they don't look as appealing as a larger dog(macho factor), so they don't attract as much attention. Which means there isn't as much of a demand for them and in turn, there are smaller numbers of them. |

My girl will be 11 in February. I still have to take her out and exercise her just about every day. That includes lots of flips and high jumps - not mild jog or game of fetch.  She's grey, but still lightning in a bottle.  |

My 5 years old female got very sick over the summer .. She was an intact bitch ... Never had a litter of puppys . Pyometra is a horrific,costly and preventable infection of the uterus .. 2200$ later I was able to save her .. She's basically a mut .. Runt pit .. Talk about 'lightning in a bottle' lol she bounced back soooo well ..  |

This is just ridiculous. I have a one year old American bull terrier and two kids. Is she energetic you bet has she mauled my kids or even tried to hurt them? Nope. She is probably the best dog I have ever had around a four and three year old... Now my dad's Cocker Spaniels god I can't stand those dogs. Every time we visit they are insane. More worried about the kids getting bit by them.
