If he had shot to injure and the teens had survived, albeit shaken, then perhaps it would have marked a turning point in their lives and a chance to reflect upon what they did. As it stands, no one will ever know. The dead don't get any second chances.

When I took my concealed weapons class the instructor made one thing very clear: When you draw your weapon you shoot to kill. Period.

I love living in the middle of nowhere, our sheriff absolutely expects us to just call and tell him how many bodies need to be picked up. He even said so on national television in documentary
