I don't know if anything will come of it. But I wouldn't be surprised if the company he works for is fined by osha or some other oversight organization. If osha walks through a work site and sees a employee without a hard hat I know the company can be fined on the spot. Doesn't matter why or what the person is doing.

The tape measure, apparently, ricocheted off something, so he could have gotten it in the eye or below the neck. You just never know.

I just read that an expert determined the tape measure traveled at about 140 m.p.h.!
