What's sad is the company is responsible. If the company wasn't liable then they wouldn't force employees to wear them.

Re: Man Killed By Falling Tape Measure

I read the title of it and thought "wait a minute I used a tape measure every day!"
But this is just another case of gravity, stupidity and im guessing over confidence. Seasoned tradesmen gain an reckless "nothing I haven't seen" attitude a lot of the time.

I wouldn't be surprised if his family sues. Seeing as it's usually a law to make everyone wear a hard hat.

Is that true since he was only delivering supplies?

He had the hat in his truck so he must have known he was supposed to be wearing it.

What are the odds? If he lived, he should have bought a lotto ticket.
