Kid for Sale on Facebook!
Man tries to sell son on Facebook By Community Team A Saudi man's attempt to sell his son on Facebook is raising questions about the social media website's legal responsibilities. The Daily Mail reported Tuesday that Saud bin Nasser Al Shahry posted a status update saying he was offering his son in exchange for "$20million." He suggested he would be willing to finalize the transaction in court, provided the buyer revealed which city he or she lived in. Al Shahry had previously operated a debt-collection business that Saudi courts shut down. When he asked authorities for financial help, he was apparently declined. He says he then decided to attempt to sell his son so that he could continue to support his wife and daughter. Twitter's terms of service prohibit users from posting content that violates the law or other people's rights. |
