Archdale, NC -- An elementary school teacher in Florida was arrested Monday for sex crimes involving children while she was in Archdale.

The Archdale City Police Department, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Flagler County Sheriff's Office in Florida, arrested Amberlee Evonne Meeker of Palm Coast, FL.

Meeker's arrest was in relation to NC charges of Indecent Liberties with a Child, Solicit Child by Computer or Certain Other Electronic Devices to Commit an Unlawful Sex Act, Disseminate Obscene Material to a minor Under 16 and Preparing Photographs of Self/Other to Prepare Obscene Film/Photo/Slide.

Meeker was employed with the Volusia County School System in Florida as an elementary school teacher during the investigation and arrest.

Meeker is currently being extradited to North Carolina for processing and her appearance in Randolph County Court.
