And that message hasn't changed since 1948.

The Arabs didn't accept it because the deal was so disproportionately in favour of Israel.

Starting in the mid to late 1800's the Zionist movement set it's sights on the area as a potential homeland, and started immigrating there illegally in great numbers.

Even in 1900, Jewish people made up only about 5% of the population and owned around 1-3% of the land.

Under the plan to create Israel, despite the fact they owned around 6% of the land and were still only about 30% of the population they were to receive over half of the land in 1948.

Is this fair?

The Arabs didn't think so, and didn't accept it. In the subsequent Israeli war of independence, they took even more land, and drove out and/or killed a half million Palestinian civilians in the process.
To this day, has Israel declared it's borders? Do they even have a constitution?

The creation of Israel is the result of a long, bloody campaign of violence and propaganda.

Very few Italians, or Germans for that matter, were interned.

It would have been fine with me to have interned ALL Italians and Germans if there were the resources and if they had posed a sufficient danger during the war years.

I attempt to look at all sides of a conflict objectively.

It is utterly impossible in a conflict this big, long and drawn out for one side to be completely blameless. To think that is even remotely possible is completely idiotic.
