Republicans beating their chest in support of closed borders.. But then have unchanging support for Israel, who has people in every nation pushing for Immigration.

So I don't get why you think they are accusing their neighbors of being out to get them.

Their neighbors did try to get them. Several times.

After they became a nation the Arab League Secretary, General Azzam Pasha declared "jihad", a holy war. He said, "This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and the Crusades"

And that message hasn't changed since 1948.

The Arab's stance was heightened by a series of attacks played out by Israelis before 1948- Many historians today use the "king david hotel" bombing as the benchmark of what we're still seeing today.

Israel as a state goes back way before WWII. Zionist whistle blower Bengimin Freedman stated that the state of Israel was a promise given by Britain, if they could get America into the first world war.

That agreement was met, and even in 1933, Hitler signed an agreement with Zionist leaders to reallocate all Jews to Israel, called the Haavara agreement. Some interesting history there.

And I agree, WWII was horrible, innocent people on all sides suffered.

But that does not give a free pass to commit the very acts you were once a victim to, in modern times.
