Kinsey, 47, said in an earlier interview with a local FOX affiliate that when he asked the officer why he opened fire, he said he didn't know.

Kinsey's attorney, Hilton Napoleon, said his client also heard another officer ask the same question.

"The shooting officer said he didn't know why he shot him," Napoleon said, according to NBC Miami.

He also questioned why Kinsey was handcuffed after he was shot.

City officials expressed outrage at a news conference Friday but said an investigation was necessary to determine what happened.

They added that a police commander, Emile Hollant, had made a "fabricated" report in relation to the incident, but did not provide details. He has been suspended without pay.

so the cop fired three shots but had no idea why and later on it was told he did it to protect the black guy whom he hit plus the police commander fabricated a report of the incident.
is this a scene from police academy ffs.
there wasn't any need to shoot in the first place as some guy watching the scene through his binoculars, from a further distance , clearly saw it was a toy truck and that cop couldn't ?

THIS incident, that cop needs to be charged. I've always said, there are times where there are a few asshole cops, I don't buy into the propaganda it's all, or there's some concerted effort to kill black thugs.

But this one, is clearly a case of a dumb ass cop making a dumb ass decision that has no basis whatsoever in rationality or excuse.

I said the same about the Kelly Thomas cops. Those fuckers need to fry.

This officer needs to be charged.

Take his badge for sure! Maybe some kind of attempted manslaughter charge. That's one blunder he won't be recovering from any time soon. Bad timing too - people are foaming at the mouth for a legitimate example of police brutality.
