it not only approaches that of those countries i mentioned, but equals them in terms of the little legal section called capital punishment. eventually this country will turn that corner. obama isn't brave enough to get people talking about it, because he knows its political suicide. the majority of americans probably do believe in the death penalty because they are raised in a society that glorifies violence, and also because they are fucking dummies who fail to think. people change, a murderer can be rehabilitated. time does a lot to a person. so does the environment they are placed in. u do have some bad eggs who will fuck u up no matter what, and those could be subjected to colorful punishment. |

predictable scenario to create. but u want them to suffer for what they did. not to fucking get put to sleep like a fucking lab rat. u take justice into ur own hands...that is acceptable. but for the legal system to allow someone to get put to death for any crime is wrong. the law is created to protect the people and to punish, not to kill. the American legal system allowing and facilitating killing is unjust and the opposite of the society we are supposed to be living in. it's ok have street justice, the mob, an individual seeking personal justice for the death of his family..and destroying the dude, slowly or quickly. but the American legal system is above that and the US should be also. crock of shit huh? ok special ed.
