I went to Magic Mountain many years ago and went on a topsy turvy sometime upside down high G ride. The restraints were so effective that there was NO WAY you were going to fall out or even crawl out on your own. As many others have already posted, I believe that I have identified the problem... VELCRO.  Velcro of all things.   I have no words for the idiocy of that choice. That is Hong Kong level of 'Safety First'. |

A “hangman’s fracture’ is an anterior and posterior fracture to the C2 vertebra. It’s called a hangman’s fracture because the positioning of the knot at this location almost assuredly caused instant death. You hear of folks surviving these fractures, but that’s generally with immediate medical attention and the use of a cervical halo for weeks. I’ve read nothing that indicates that Caleb suffered from a complete decapitation; it was always reported as a “neck injury.”
