I'm sorry.Everybody is a douche in this.It's not like she was forced to recite the damn thing.I find it very easy to tune out advertisements on bus shelters and the like-was it really so offensive? The sentiment was basically reminding students to be kind,decent people.And the folks sending her death threats or refusing her flower deliveries? one of my school friends from the 90s went on a trip to china with his mother, the whole coach load of them all from hong kong were arrested and held imprisoned because some of the group were members of a group that practice falun gong. they were held for 3 months. happened about 10 years ago.

this teen has that special syndrome, thinking she's sooo different and ahead of the curve by tackling her school. good job. enjoy the threats. seriously though, religion has no place in school. schools aren't supposed to be an indoctrination locale to receive the lord. quit shoving opinions down peoples throats. keep the "holy prayer" for those poor folk. Christianity targets the poor...so it's always been a hoot for many.

If its not supposed to be taught in school it shouldn't be there. Times change, get over it. Would we be having this argument if the principal was a Muslim? What about if the quote was out of the Koran? I dont want my school district to funnel any religious shit into my kids head. Thats up to my kid to discover on there own.
