I worked as a recruiter for Class A CDL drivers. This guy will not only lose his job, he will have a difficult time finding ANY company to hire him in the future. There are many restrictions in my state in reference to CDL drivers. This guy's career has ended.

Fitting, assuming he's at fault. He did kill someone, after all.

Thing is, though, is that reports of him admitting to the police that he had been up for over 24 hours and had been nodding off may actually be bullshit.

Morgan Released From Hospital

Tracy Morgan has been released from the hospital.

The comedian, who was involved in a fatal car crash June 7, has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he will stay for the next few weeks, according to his publicist.

"While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go," his rep said in a statement. "He and [his fiancée] Megan wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him."

Immediately after the accident, Morgan, 45, was hospitalized in critical condition. Nine days later, he was upgraded to fair condition, as was his assistant Jeff Millea. There has been no update about comedian Ardie Fuqua, who was also in critical condition after the crash. Comedian James McNair died.

Meanwhile, the Walmart truck driver accused of causing the crash, Kevin Roper, has been charged with vehicular homicide. He has pleaded not guilty and is free on bail.

A mate of mine was killed by a truck hitting his car from behind. The truck driver said to police that he couldn't remember anything of the accident, and was released without any charges. He was driving again 2 weeks later.

No there wasn't much of an investigation. I had just got out of the car before it happened but the police never came to ask me anything which surprised me, so I went myself to the cops to ask what they were doing and they said it was a closed case, just a tragic accident. The thing is I live in Holland but I'm English, my mate was also, and the truck driver was Dutch. That carries a lot of weight here. The police said "we don't think the driver was tired because he had just started work that day.." That means nothing to me. I don't know how they interpreted that as evidence the driver was fully alert. I would say the opposite were true, but I have no say in the matter.

I feel sorry for his family too. Sounds like something more should have been done.
