LADOTD has for the last few months been widening I-12 between Baton Rouge and Livingston here in Louisiana, and put up T-barriers on the medians to border the lane shifts that they had to set up. And it's not as if any of the work zones are that hard to navigate, or difficult to see coming even at night. The fault lies squarely with a bunch of dumbass unprofessional rig jockeys who should have had their CDLs revoked long ago. I'm personally of the opinion that the kind of negligence that results in those kind of completely avoidable fuck-ups should result in a mandatory 1-year suspension of one's Class A license. If they don't want to act like the professionals that they're supposed to be, then they should be bent over and spanked like the fucking overgrown children that they are until they learn how to conduct themselves on the road; because I for one am tired of losing hours of my life in gridlock because of someone else's dumbass fucking negligence.

Most of the fuckups are rookies who went to a bullshit 3 week truck driving school to get their CDL.

I don't think it's that, at least not on the highway. Rookie kistakes would include backing up into things like cars and huildings, not being able to dock flush (which can be a pain in the ass depending on the dock, regardless of experience), not taking a turn wide enough, et cetera. But when you're on the highway, 90% of keeping your shit straight consists of staying alert and paying attention. It's not so much a matter of inexperience, but just plain carelessness. Things like tailgating, distracted driving, and running at 80 mph in shitty weather conditions are all prpducts of carelessness rather than inexperience.

It is also these new smart phones. As a driver I sit up as high as all of these other assholes and I can see them playing with their phones. Everybody is a fucking child nowadays with these fucking phones. Phones should not be able to let you surf the internet. You've got assholes driving an 80,000 lb vehicle down the road on Facebook or jacking off to porn now.
