Ya, a bad night. He didn't kill anyone, he committed assault with no direct intent to kill. He didn't completely lose it, he was intoxicated and possibly drugged. I was a Marine man, I got in plenty of bar and street fights, so ya it does happen in the military. Once I got into Reconnaissance things didn't change. Even now, I know ex-SEALs and ex-Army SF who like a good tussle, and I work for a department with huge oversight. I've also been to active duty SEAL bars at coronado, where once the cops leave, some trash talkers get a beatdown. Being in a special unit just gives more reason to run from the law once it does happen. SEALs are just too few and expensive to be discharging at every bad event. He should have rank taken away, his service file noted, PTed, do base services and miss leaves. The courts, Navy and his designated team will settle the rest. Simply put, a dishonorable discharge over this, is pushing the envelope way to far.

Only courthouse Republicans would be so ignorant as to think that a pill called "ECSTASY" causes people to go mad just because it's "DRUGS". He got 56 days, but won't serve them due to overcrowding.
