Surveillance video shows a 23 year old SEAL going on a rampage along the Las Vegas Strip, beating people with a metal pipe.The brutal attacks occurred in March of 2010. The video released this week shows exactly what happened.Shawley had consumed eight Jack and Cokes that night. He was having dinner with his friends at Tao. After eating, they made their way to the nightclub and that's all Shawley says he remembers. Shawley is facing 15 felonies and a gross misdemeanor. His trial is scheduled for August 1st 2011

Jury finds Navy SEAL guilty in 2010 attack on Strip
10 August 2010

A Navy SEAL was found guilty Wednesday of seven counts of battery in a March 2010 attack on eight people with a metal pipe at a Strip casino.

After a weeklong trial, the jury deliberated about eight hours before finding Luke Shawley guilty. He was acquitted on one count of burglary.

Prosecutors said Shawley was drunk on nearly 20 alcoholic beverages before the assaults, which were caught on surveillance video at The Venetian.

Shawley's attorney, Ross Goodman, said during the trial that the special warfare operator had consumed only eight drinks and argued that one of the drinks was laced with drugs by an unknown person.

Shawley was placed on house arrest pending his sentencing hearing, set for Dec. 15 before Judge James Bixler.

Both prosecutors and Goodman declined to comment.

even though he's an ex seal now, the video shows what an active navy seal going crazy looks like. so i think the title is right as it is
