Real Americans who truly believed that what they were doing was the right thing to do fought and died for that flag. It's not your place to impose your views on that flag. Real honest good people defended that flag (maybe a lot less than slave wanting bad Americans). The fact of the matter is, it's a fucking piece of cloth and you shouldn't get your panties in a bunch over it.
The real RACIST are the guys attacking the white kids for having the flag. This isn't the wild West; you don't get to run people out of town because you don't like what they're expressing.
What the losers should have done is made their truck bullet proof, gotten into the bed of the pick-up truck, stood their ground and murdered anyone who pulled out a weapon with intent to hurt them. You can't shoot them the way they are right now because you don't know if they are coming after you until it's too late... Use of deadly force is sketchy here (all the way up until the point where they're beating their asses 1 on 7+).
Smart thing to do is leave with your tail tucked.
