Reminds me of the crap that happened over the general lee. My opinion of the general Lee and the decision to pull the dukes , so here's my rant like it or not. I agree with it. Don't get me wrong I love the show. But people are trying to justify and put smoke and mirrors over the flags meaning or what it means to them. Fact of the matter is what the flag really means and what it stood for. Rebel...that flag is used to represent the strength and balls it takes to stand up to the United States. Awesome! Because the south felt that the north was a threat to their social and economic heritage. Slavery. It represents the hatred and terror caused by southern people who used it as a symbol to justify their beliefs that black people were inferior to white people. Throughout slavery, through the Judge Lynch era, to the late 40's when it was hoisted above capital buildings to support segregation, to...now. So that's your heritage and tradition. You can't be a rebel without remembering why (honestly) you rebeled. Stop twisting the truth to fit your horseshit pride. You want to fight for this vile symbol? Be my guest. You'll be on the losing side of history - again.

while maybe not outright racist the flag may or may not be, i feel its a symbol of loss. not like a lost loved one but like someone else said the swastika, its now a symbol of defeat. the south LOST the civil war, get over it people, the Confederacy is nonexistant. those that think otherwise are basically domestic terrorists. if thats too far of a phrasing then at the LEAST they are people who oppose the system in such a way that they prevent any change they want, and make it harder to achieve. its hard to explain while drunk for me lol

either way to the OP, white dudes were losers for having the confederate flag on their truck but the black GANG (of people) were clearly in the wrong by picking a fight. i mean they could have found a rock and busted the windsheild the flag was on but instead they fight 7v2, thats clearly a good way to make people be on your side.

while that flag shouldnt even be around anymore because they lost over 100 years ago and they need to get over it, the black dudes dont need to beat the fuck out of people. it just reinforces racist stereotypes that black people act like barbaric monkeys...
