But judging by the flame and the smoke ratio... i am guessing a different source of explosion. a smoke vape with a cheap battery. ive seen rechargeable batteries explode like that on demos about battery explosion. specially the lithium ion ones. quick flash, flaming splash and lots of smoke. and it would be consistent with the damages it caused. in the crotch or pocket area.

I am not sure about that. even a flash grenade will leave more damage than that. and if it was a frag grenade, there will be none left intact in his waist area.
