Looks like the safety catch harness didn't catch him until AFTER he bounced. Should have stuck to the reindeer. |

Should have kept Santa on a shorter safety cord. Probably didn't account for his "bowl full of jelly" belly. I don't think Santa is going to be jolly again for some time. That's downright disturbing. |

Well, the ones we used on aircraft were designed to lock if we dropped about 12". We were ALWAYS "tied off" on top of an aircraft. We were sitting and working on horizontal stabilizers 50'-70' feet off the ground. Same if you were on top of the fuselage. If you lost your footing, you were going DOWN without the harnesses.
