The reason so many people are having a hard time recognising this video is real is because it's one of those rare time when sun/light position is perfect, the cam recording from the vehicle is moving along with the subject being hit tracking the fall and the flip, and let's face it, it's only 30 fps with a short shutter time because of the bright light. A human body can most certainly flip 180 degrees when hit by two tonnes of vehicle at speed in under 1/30th of a second, especially when the nose of the vehicle is dipped because of braking force. The nose clips the legs below the knees, well below the centre of mass of the body, spinning it extremely fast into the hood, which then stops the rotation equally as fast. End result? Upside down moron who decided to stand in traffic sailing through the air like Buster from Mythbusters. |

The guy shouldn't have been that far away from his vehicle. Bad luck both ways, the black vehicle didn't see the one ahead slowing down until it was too late!
