That guy is REALLY lucky. The bungee cord held until he was at the very end of the drop before it failed. He was nearly stopped, so it was like he just dove into the water from a raft.
Wonder if they gave him his money back?

Yes it did! But watch where it snapped at. If it had snapped when the load was first taken up, he would have fallen 50 feet and died. As it is, it released him just inches above the water. So it was more like jumping into a swimming pool than off a building.
Big difference.
