I remember standing on the roof of the south tower while on a field trip in the mid 80's. It was a calm day yet on top the towers the wind was so strong that my hair and shirt were blowing straight back. It looked and felt like being on a huge airplane wing.
When I saw the "jumpers" on(tv) 911 I was terrified!! I realized how ferocious that situation must have been. To jump out or off of one of those towers would be just like jumping out of a airplane knowing you have no parachute. That whole situation was just sickening and sad.
