Re: Worker Died From Severe Burns After Boiler Explosion at Factory
I burned my arm with a cigarette once when I was in morphine to see how well it was working. It worked very well, it still hurt but I could detach myself from the pain, but the cigarette went out once it got into the moisture under my skin. It got nowhere near being able to damage the nerves except I imagine very superficially. To really cut pain it's no use just sizzling the nerve endings because nearby nerve endings that aren't damaged will pick it up, you have to switch off the main nerve branch really which is buried quite deep. Which makes me think you didn't burn the nerve away as such but more that you have a higher pain tolerance or your endorphin system is highly effective. If it's still numb now then I retract what I just said.. And I'm not dissing you, just saying my thoughts on it |
