Third degree burns aren't painful because the nerve endings are destroyed. Horrible death just the same.

When I was 15 & getting wasted beside a fire in the middle of the woods, my dumbass played chicken with this other dude for 20 bucks by putting our forearms together & dropping 2 lit cigarettes between them to see who would pull back first. One cig fell through after a few minutes (it was at the wrist where there was a bit of a space) & the other one eventually went out. I was left with a couple of big holes in my arm & I don't seem to remember feeling much pain after they had started burning into my arm & through the nerves. Side note: neither one of our dumb asses won a fucking penny because neither of us flinched. |

steam burns are worse. your nerves aren't burned away, so you get the real 100% burn experience...
