Re: Woman Died After Shootout During a Traffic Stop in Nashville
Precisely this. Any illegal activities plainly seen (or smelled) during a routine traffic stop, which this was, subvert the need for a warrant in order to search person and vehicle. TN does not even have medical cannabis legislation, btw. That orangutan knew she was in deep, that's why she was screeching "Hep me! Hep me!" Deserved to get a .40 caliber corn-holing. |

A DR all-time classic. I remembered an illustration for a joke in early grade school with the text: "Fatty and Skinny went to bed, Fatty rolled over and Skinny was dead". Here it's Fatty and Fatty went the non-compliance route... Fatty chimped out and Fatty was dead. |

Re: Woman Died After Shootout During a Traffic Stop in Nashville
I just re-watched this today and noticed something I hadn't before - after he tasers her the second time while she's seated in the car, she turns to look at him and develops what I interpreted as a simmered down expression, as if realizing she'd better comply (I've seen this expression before in other videos where initially resistive female suspects get calmed down immediately after getting a taste of The Taze; then they're arrested without further incident). But then he takes the taser and jams it into her shoulder and gives her another hard tasing. This struck me as unnecessary and it's when she reached for the gun and fired. She probably panicked even more than she originally did and felt she was being tortured (and quite frankly, it almost looks like that was the case). IMO, this was a really bad cop who royally fucked things up in dealing with a childish, immature woman who panicked (first thing she did when she made a call earlier was call her "mommy"). It's an unnecessary death and I hope that over-the-top fat-fuck clown-cop is off the force |

IMO Cops that ESCALATE a situation and then use lethal force are guilty of murder in the first degree and should have their panzyass qualified immunity stripped away, the same way their soon-to-be prison garb will be stripped away by a guy named Bubba...

Re: Woman Died After Shootout During a Traffic Stop in Nashville
We don't know if she had a valid license at the time of the stop. She had multiple misdemeanors for driving after revoked. If she didn't get that squared away, she would be getting arrested for another driving after revoked. And then a search of her body and purse would be justified before taking her into cuatody. Then the car would get "inventoried" for impound and the gun would have been found. There is not enough information in this post to determine if the cop did or did not have justification for the search.
