Villagers/mob Justice on Murdering Robbers
Brazil, Two elements arrived on a motorcycle and announced a robbery at an establishment just before closing time. Residents believe the owner (49) tried to react and then was hit with a bullet in the forehead which killed him instantly. The bandits tried to to flee the site but were quickly apprehended by police.  While driving the men to the police station the police were met with an angry crowd. Villagers caught hold of one of the bandits and practiced a lynching, causing his death. His partner was also badly hurt and was taken to the City Hospital. The crowd, made up of about 2,000 people, surrounded the hospital. The revolt of people was because the business owner was a very dear person to all, a serious man, married, hardworking with good conduct.  Because of the worsening situation reinforcement was sent to assist the police. Once there the police had to shoot into the air to contain the population, who wanted to invade the hospital while some people threw several stones at the police. To transport the wounded bandit (23) from the hospital to another hospital the police had to use an alternate path behind the hospital, avoiding the angry mob. The bandit had been shot in the back and legs and had lost a lot of blood and had swellings in various parts of the body including the head. |

No I can't, but it disturbs me when mob justice is perhaps dealt out in some situations to lesser crimes (eg stealing) and to those who are actually innocent. Humans need law and order otherwise society would be in utter chaos and anarchy. However even without government law and order some people would still emerge as leaders and would in turn evoke their own "justice system". Just interests me from a societal point of view  |

This is the way to deal with those that take a life as if it's nothing ,never thinking only of them selves .and not worrying of the pain they have caused so I'm given them no sympathy

A mob can't be just. Justice requires reason and courage. Mobs, by definition, lack both.
