Re: Attempting Suicide, East Malaysia
If this is a repeated attempt...should have just left the guy alone maybe... I don't like jumpers though, you can hit someone on your way down. Anything that could hurt anyone else, i dont like those forms of suicide. But i do believe if a person wants out and has had enough, all in all they shouldn't be stopped. They have to carry out their own life, not you. |

Re: Attempting Suicide, East Malaysia
I don't think i could have the stomach to record someone who was feeling suicidal and wanting to jump, we had a guy recently who reached out for help for drugs and alcohol abuse, but for obvious reasons you can't just get help then and there sometimes as places have waiting lists/referral systems. About 30 minutes later he was trying to jump off the high story car park next to the recovery centre due to feeling so helpless. I feel so hypocritical at times, interested in others online and videos on this site, yet when it's in the real world around me i don't cope. There were guys recording him, and shouting at him to jump from a flippin' chip shop while getting their lunch. Services managed to contain the situation in the end, like this. Oddly in a weird place right now, glad this guy was saved but i wonder why he was doing it, and if he got the help he needed? |

Re: Attempting Suicide, East Malaysia
Philippine Government does not do well against other countries. My guess is that is an abused overseas filipino worker, probably filed a complaint and plea for help in our embassy and most cases, got none. happens a lot of times and all parts of the world. thats why if one case resolved itself on its own, our government scrambles up to claim it as their effort... Our family have generations of that opinion even from those of our family who served in the lower government departments. a lot of wanna-be-do-gooders down the government levels but the top ones dont want anything done in fear we might upset that country's investors and move out. |
