Ambush
-The begining of the video shows the truck parked in the road with the driver out of the vehicle preparing his weapon out of view from the approaching runner. Confirming the story that they chased the guy down.

Fight or flight?
- The victim is shown running towards the driver initially, but changes direction when he got close to the truck, he probably saw the gun at that point.
- The victim, understanding that he isn't going to get away on foot, attacks the driver in a futile attempt to gain control of the gun.
- Words are exchanged and you can hear someone say "fuck you" before the 2nd shot is fired.

Premeditation
- The man standing on the truck bed is seen attempting to adjust something on his face (probably a bandana), while facing away from the victim and conveniently, the camera.
- The drivers face was also concealed. It's important to note this happened in February when people in the US weren't wearing facemasks like that)
- After the first shot goes out, the truck bed guy is shown trying to quickly retrieve something that was on him (probably the gun that is later seen in his hands)

The Cameraman
- He knew something was about to go down. He angled the camera right where the runner was going to be before he was even visible.
- He first appears to try to park on the side of the road, but turns his car towards the victim at the last moment, probably to cut him off.
- He makes no effort to conceal the phone from the gunmen while recording. Would you stop your car in the middle of the road, in front of 2 armed men, who just shot someone in broad daylight only a couple car lengths in front of you, and have your phone out recording the whole time?...Only way I'd feel comfortable doing that is if I knew the gunmen personally.
- You can hear him unbuckle his seatbelt before coming to a stop. Why would he do that?

Tldr
- This was premeditated murder.
- I have way too much time on my hands.
- The father, son, and cameraman were in on it.
- If someone is trying to perform a citizen's arrest on you, and they have a gun, dont rush that person, just wait for the cops (unless its Brazil. If this happens to you there, you're pretty much fucked regardless so you might as well fight).

This part is the most important, in my humble opinion. Even if you grant that they caught him trying to steal from them, which is doubtful, given that cross racial eyewitness ID is worse than that of intraracial eyewitness ID, you don't pursue them while armed and in a truck. Get information and give it to police.

What's more, he appears to be actually jogging. We've all watched a number of videos on here of people actually trying to evade pursuit and they don't move like that. Plus, the role of the person filming is also sketchy as hell, though I'm glad we have the footage.

Add to this the time delay and the whole thing stinks.

The father's version of events dont even match what we see in the video. He says they saw him jogging, and recognized him as someone who they caught looking into a window of a building under construction "the other night".

They said they saw him put his hands in his pants, which made them believe he was armed at the time (which honestly just sounds like they were setting up their defense as to why they brought guns in order to "talk" to the guy in the first place).

They say they caught up to him and tried to cut him off, but he turned around to run the other way.

They chased Arbery to a nearby intersection, where they caught up to him, the [police] report said.

"Stop, stop, we want to talk to you," Gregory McMichael shouted at Arbery, according to the police report.

Travis McMichael then exited truck with the shotgun, the police report said. His father told officers Arbery "violently attacked" his son, the report said, and they struggled over the gun. Travis McMichael fired two shots, the report said, and Arbery fell.

They didn't "catch up" to him the second time. We see they succesfully cut him off and had prepared an ambush.

And the "violent attack" began after the shotgun was brought into play. The 911 dispatcher asked what exactly they saw Arbery doing that would warrant a citizen's arrest, and the former cop didn't give an answer.

And I'll admit this next bit is purely speculative, but if it's just him and his son in the truck, why was the cop riding around on the truck bed? I doubt it was for comfort.

If you believe the man is armed (which they said they did), wouldn't it make sense to use as much of the truck as possible for cover? Or did he just want to avoid shooting out the windows when they run the man down?

Also, at what point did he say "stop stop we just want to talk"? Was it before or after stopping in the middle of the road to prepare a shotgun? The police report said before. So why not try to talk when he was jogging directly towards the driver?

...or...why not just drive along side the guy to "talk", afraid he's going to outrun your truck? The jogger doesn't really look like 2008 Usain Bolt to me.

Overlord offered a potential reason for the guy recording that seems plausible to me, that he just saw the guy fleeing from the truck, knew some shit was going down, and wanted to document the situation. Maybe he was just some guy trying to help.

Looking at only the video, thankfully the full video that has been edited on the news to be much worse than it appears, one thing that strikes me as odd is his behavior after being confronted. He continues to act like a jogger after guys with a handgun and a shotgun come at him. He continues to "jog" but around the other side of the truck, away from the son. Put aside race, guilt or innocence, look at behavior. No way a jogger is going to continue jogging when confronted by gunman. The logical thing to do when confronted by men who have the drop on you is to fall to the ground, or run like a bat out of hell off the road to a point of cover or concealment. After being shot and fighting over the gun, he tries to act like a jogger. That is baffling.



To continue to act like you are jogging is either an insane level of fitness or commitment to the only act you believe you have to make yourself look innocent. That tells me the act of jogging was just that, an act, the second the guys started to come after him.

I don't like the way the news edited this. They say it is edited but can't show more because it is too graphic but then show the whole thing. I came here looking at the whole video, but I had already seen it on a mainstream media site.

Why was the guy filming? You don't just film an innocent jogger unless you are perving on him or her. I believe the person filming was documenting what they thought was the suspect of a crime fleeing the area. Sadly it goes bad before the police can get there and detain him.

I see a no bill coming from a fair grand jury. I see a true bill coming from a grand jury trying to prevent riots.

I notice his shirt is dry. From my time in the army assigned in Georgia, I would sweat and be soaked all the time due to the humidity. If he jogged from home, if he did live 15 minutes away, would he still be dry?

The way I see it is that if I stole something and see the guys and guns im running away. I don't want to get caught. I'm hiding. Not running in the middle of the road. If I'm a jogger half the time I'm looking down not trying to step on some that will roll my ankle. Car stop ima go around the car but guy with the gun confronted him. Obviously screaming at him confronting him. He's not there to sell girl scouts.

The homeowner of the house he was trying to rob has him (yes the jogger) on camera four separate times breaking in. But maybe he was just on a jog each of those four times and accidentally fell into the window as he was jogging, four times. The honor student speedster was just jogging afterall.

Anyone have the other photos/video of the jogger breaking into places? Pretty damning evidence. But not an excuse for shooting the jogger on the road, unless the video tape missed something.
