Re: Video of Georgia Man Being Gunned Down While Jogging.
So OmegaS3's claim that there was no 911 call on Arbery is WRONG. The neighbor's 911 call will timestamp to Arbery's presence. If Arbery was carrying a working smart phone, police can easily trace the GPS ping and place him within 5 meters of the ping location with time stamp. On top of everything else, a bunch of county ADAs are familiar with the shooter and have recused themselves. Odds this goes the victims way kind of slim. |

Along Rt 17, he would have had to pass Sidney Lanier Park, cross a half mile of bridge and another 4 miles to a mostly white town where he would have been out of place and likely unwelcome. This is Georgia, after all.

Re: Video of Georgia Man Being Gunned Down While Jogging.
One last thing; you have to bring a shotgun into a mess, bring a short barrel, the shortest you can get away with (usually 18 inches, not that 30 inch tent pole) for reasons demonstrated in the video. Too easy for someone to control your muzzle. The 21 foot rule also applies.

Re: Video of Georgia Man Being Gunned Down While Jogging.
So what? Even if he was, or did break in somewhere, it’s not a crime worth taking his life. I’ve been a victim of theft, and some of the things stolen were sentimental and irreplaceable. A rational mind doesn’t resort to murder over theft. Beat their ass, sure. But killing someone over material items? I’m from Georgia, and the headlines calling this a “lynching” aren’t far off. Everyone likes to dig on the south and when it comes to the racism, they’re right. There are countless fatheaded, uncle grandpa looking, redneck racists in Ga. Especially in Brunswick. These ballbags had every intention of killing him. Especially considering the connections they have. No fear of the law. And citizens arrest? Who the fuck even does that anymore? |

Re: Video of Georgia Man Being Gunned Down While Jogging.
Or we can just accept the narrative that the 'jogger' was just jogging, well outside of his home area, stopping his jog to peep into empty houses for the purpose of taking a break from his jog, then continuing to jog and when a person who lives in the neighborhood comes by, the jogger does what joggers do and grabs the weapon violently and then gets shot. Of course the jogger who's knee high jogging shorts just wanted the gun to go jogging with, he had no other intent. How does any of this make any sense at all? Its fine that he was a thief, its fine that he happened to be black, its fine that he was caught and tried to get away with it. Just call it like it is. That he was an innocent jogger who brings handguns to high school games and violently attacks random people (even when they themselves are armed) is ridiculous. Let the men stand on the ground that they tried to make a citizens arrest and came armed. If that's against the law, then they will be convicted. He is not a jogger with a heart of gold. BTW, they weren't trying to arrest him, they were trying to keep him from continuing to 'run' until the police came. Had he not attacked them, had he not been trying to steal, he would still be alive.

Re: Video of Georgia Man Being Gunned Down While Jogging.
Looking at only the video, thankfully the full video that has been edited on the news to be much worse than it appears, one thing that strikes me as odd is his behavior after being confronted. He continues to act like a jogger after guys with a handgun and a shotgun come at him. He continues to "jog" but around the other side of the truck, away from the son. Put aside race, guilt or innocence, look at behavior. No way a jogger is going to continue jogging when confronted by gunman. The logical thing to do when confronted by men who have the drop on you is to fall to the ground, or run like a bat out of hell off the road to a point of cover or concealment. After being shot and fighting over the gun, he tries to act like a jogger. That is baffling. To continue to act like you are jogging is either an insane level of fitness or commitment to the only act you believe you have to make yourself look innocent. That tells me the act of jogging was just that, an act, the second the guys started to come after him. I don't like the way the news edited this. They say it is edited but can't show more because it is too graphic but then show the whole thing. I came here looking at the whole video, but I had already seen it on a mainstream media site. Why was the guy filming? You don't just film an innocent jogger unless you are perving on him or her. I believe the person filming was documenting what they thought was the suspect of a crime fleeing the area. Sadly it goes bad before the police can get there and detain him. I see a no bill coming from a fair grand jury. I see a true bill coming from a grand jury trying to prevent riots. Edit: autocorrect hates me. I notice his shirt is dry. From my time in the army assigned in Georgia, I would sweat and be soaked all the time due to the humidity. If he jogged from home, if he did live 15 minutes away, would he still be dry? |
