Re: USA - Police Kill Armed Suspect Caught Breaking into House
Even if it was an Airsoft gun it wouldn't matter. They are nearly undiscernible at that distance. Which means, they have to take it that he is standing there with a .223 or 5.56, which, not that a pistol isn't a deadly weapon, they are outgunned if that kid was a decent shot. I think most of the cops sounded concerned for their safety more than just wanting to shoot that guy. I also think that first two shots was not was he was expecting. He got hit well, by the way he dropped the muzzle of the gun, realized this is what a bullet feels like. I can't figure out why he kept holding it, except to say he wanted them to finish the job.

Re: USA - Police Kill Armed Suspect Caught Breaking into House
Now, the big question. The guy was armed and refused to drop the weapon, but was there an immediate threat in the moment that the officer fired the shots that killed him? moronic statement |

Re: USA - Police Kill Armed Suspect Caught Breaking into House
Criminals don't seem to understand the simple concept of dropping a weapon to not get shot. Apparently, some on this thread don't either. Quit trying to make it about him holding a weapon but not being an immediate threat (lmao), about criminals in other countries not being "disrespected" by LEO but this being the case in the US, blah, blah. Y'all need an afternoon of electroshock.

Looks like suicide by cop to me. The guy just seemed to give out this "I don't care what happens to me" vibe, and he sure as hell wasn't in a hurry to put the gun down.

He did drop it in the end, didn't he? If you're faced with armed officers and you're not dropping your weapon, you deserve to be disarmed by any means necessary. How quickly could he have brought that thing up and popped off a few rounds at the officer?

Re: USA - Police Kill Armed Suspect Caught Breaking into House
I'm usually Team Blue, but this guy was on the verge of giving up. He wasn't even holding it in his arm in shooting position. Sometimes, cops panic. You can hear the stress in all of the cops' voices, so it was pretty much a given that the gunman was gonna die.
