Life is simple. Don't do stupid shit. Don't commit crimes. Don't run around with guns and you won't get shot by the police. And if they tell you to do something, do it.

I'm the same. Some of the anti-cop comments people make are stupid (just shoot him in the legs, why not taze him?) but even though he was holding the gun, he was clearly giving up. He didn't raise the weapon to warrant being shot. I'm not too keen on this one. But no doubt it'll go nowhere.

I can tell you that if I was on a jury, I would NEVER convict a cop who had faced a person with a weapon. When the cops show up, you either surrender or you die. No loss either way. No sympathy on my part if you don't drop the weapon and give up. That asshole is smarter now.

Chandler?!? Nothing bad ever happens in Chandler...

This all happened the day before Thanksgiving last year. Maybe he wasn't looking forward to all the relatives coming over.

To answer your question. Yes. He was armed and in the process of actively commuting a felony.

He was a threat.

Officers arrived and heard noises coming from the garage, with the suspect then running through the house and out the back door. Officers surrounded the man and ordered him to drop the gun he was carrying.

"Drop it or I will put holes in you."

"I know you will."

*proceeds to put holes in him*

In the video we see an officer over the wall of the rear of the property fire two shots which appear to stun the suspect, before another officer dumps a mag into him.

Now, the big question. The guy was armed and refused to drop the weapon, but was there an immediate threat in the moment that the officer fired the shots that killed him?

I get that police are under crazy stress when in these situations, but calling someone a fucker or saying “ill put holes in you” seems like poor policing.

Justified shooting, he already knew law enforcement was on the scene when he was in the garage and had plenty of time to drop the weapon and yet after many commands just kept holding on to it.
