Re: USA - Elderly Man Killed By Pitbulls
Dogs are not born bad. Humans either abuse them or literally teach them to be bad. Any dog can be dangerous.

They shun tools and skills that would allow them to be self reliant. They quickly freak out about their constant helplessness in situtations they claim cant ever happen, and always defer responsibility to someone else to "do something". It's called a democrat. |

Re: USA - Elderly Man Killed By Pitbulls
Even if you can you're still going to get ripped up. Should be a last resort. Using a weapon is smart not macho. You think it's easy grabbing ahold of a dog in kill mode? Ever seen them in the wild constantly disengaging and dodging and backing out of reach of their target then coming back for more and tag teaming opposite sides in a battle of exhaustion and attrition? Going melee with dogs is easier said than done. Fight smart with a ranged force multiplier and live with no injury or be macho and risk being mauled and ugly and disfigured and disabled for the rest of your life even if you win Let me think about that... |

Re: USA - Elderly Man Killed By Pitbulls
I had one encounter with dogs recently. Couldn't tell you what breed, they where similar to these maybe. Just got home and stupidly left my handgun in my driver seat and driver door cracked while walking not even 20 feet to get the mail before locking up and going inside. Out of nowhere I see and hear two dogs snarling and charging at me full speed from like 3 houses down. Nobody else around. First reaction was to immediately make a sprint for the gun in the car but they were closing on me that fast and I knew I wouldn't out run them and would only encourage their prey instinct. I stopped in my tracks and thought fuck it, this is it, let's dance. I'm gonna get fucked up but I'm going to kill them. Turned to face them in a bent knee palms out shoulders forward ready to catch/grapple posture. Calm and determined, slow motion, and made eye contact. They stopped dead in their tracks about 5 feet away from me barking and snarling and testing the distance they could get. I thought OK maybe I can work my way to the car after all and as I stepped away they tried to close in. So was left to turn to face them and took a step toward them completely fearless and ready to fight for my life. Rationing in my head I'd take unavoidable injury to arms and legs to protect face, neck, and balls. They jumped back and sat there snarling in a stare down basically while I coldly analyzed them in a very apex predator like way looking where and how I could severely injure or kill them bare handed. Even if I just had to grab anything I could and whirl them around into the asphalt as hard as I could. They got tired and trotted away after about 1 to 2 minutes of that. My fight or flight kicked in to severe fight mode. I don't know if they sensed that and or the complete lack of fear or intimidation and decided they made a huge mistake or what but I got lucky. Needless to say I carry weapon of some kind now even if it's just going to the mailbox. Because fuck that ever happening again. |

Re: USA - Elderly Man Killed By Pitbulls
Ok I lied about fearless, its more that I don't experience panic arms flailing brain shuts off scream and do nothing kind of fear. Briefly get that numb warm chill that washes over thinking "I just fucked up" but that only lasts for a second or two for me. My brain then takes over and goes on auto pilot and engineering mode. I start crunching numbers, eliminating non functional options like running to focus on the undesirable inevitable scenario being forced on me. The critical part is quickly accepting the reality that I am going to get messed up and its not going to be fun. Then I can go into min max mode, what's the minimum injury I can take, what's the worst that can happen, what needs to be sacrificed vs protected to gain an upper hand, what injuries are superficial and can be fixed by medical science, is my shirt one of my favorites that I can't buy anymore and don't want to get torn or stained etc. I don't really understand the whole helpless panic and jumping and screaming thing people do. I've never been capable of that. Is like they refuse to accept reality and shut down. |

Re: USA - Elderly Man Killed By Pitbulls
San Antonio, Texas in early April 2023. The dogs belonged to the choad who lived next door to this elderly couple. It was later revealed that he had deliberately trained these dogs to do this shit. The old man didn't survive the dog attack.
