The hard truth is that carrying a gun mainly allows you to feel safer, it doesn't actually make you safer and various statistic bear this out. It's a sign of our truly sick culture that so many feel they must carry in order to feel safe. But what makes me lump so many of you "sadistic, foaming-at-the-mouth war mongers that relish in seeing people butchered" is that for one thing, most of you refuse to push back by demanding your craven legislators actually do something instead of cowering before the NRA. Instead we get more "thoughts and prayers...." This says one thing, most gun owners appear to value their guns more than they value the lives of their friends, family, and certainly more than people you've never met.

There were 647 mass shootings in the US in 2022 - according to the Gun Violence Archive, and so far in 2023, another 201. The horror of Columbine seems so long ago, yet people like Mauricio Garcia can STILL legally purchase weapons like the AR-15 despite concerns over his mental health for more than a decade.

All sarcasm aside, no, it's not funny, it's tragic. But you're more concerned that I've 'lump[ed] all gun owners into a group' and joke at your expense. You may not 'enjoy' the pictures, you've just become apathetic to them.

That's where I get such ideas.
