I'm sure they will make a decision within 30 days, and if he doesn't like it, he can appeal the decision to the United Healthcare Special Review committee, which meets annually on the 5th Wednesday in February.

I have ZERO sympathy for the victim and his family. He has been profiting off the misery and death of Americans and I think he should have thought about his treatment of the insured when he got the threats. If you ruin people's lives by withholding the insurance they have paid for then you deserve whatever comes your way. Insurance companies are parasitic companies that bleed the heart and soul from people and then when they're in a time of need they tell them to take a long walk off a short pier. I worked a job in healthcare for a few years, billing doing health insurance claims billing. And from that experience alone...honestly fuck that CEO. He made a fortune in an industry that profits from depriving people of the care they need. I hope he's burning in hell, and if I were on the jury for that shooter, I'd vote to acquit.

The way pistols are shown in movies to make the tiny pew sound while ejecting the shell casing is false.

A “real” suppressor like that absorbs all the blowback gas from the discharge of the projectile and does not eject the shell. You have to chamber each round before you fire.

There’s a scene in the movie where”Blue Velvet” towards the end where Frank kills the man in the yellow jacket and chambers each round before he fires his pistol. It’s the only movie I know of that depicts how a pistol suppressor actually works.

You would think all the posts expressing hate toward the CEO and praise for the shooter would be somewhat unique to the types of people who frequent this site.

Nope. The comments sections on a number of news sites arebfilled with similar reactions.

The only difference is that our "expert analysts" tend to emphasize what the shooter did wrong instead of speculating why they might be a professional.

Finally, an issue that can bring this country together. Let the healing begin!
